Commercial Floor Coatings on Long Island, NY
Professional concrete coating solutions for commercial, automotive and light-industrial spaces throughout Long Island.
Organized Garage Solutions provides concrete preparation and coating systems selected around how your facility actually operates.
Your Floor Is Part of Your Operation.
Commercial concrete is exposed to foot traffic, carts, equipment, vehicles, spills and constant everyday use.
An aging or untreated surface can become difficult to maintain and make an otherwise professional facility feel unfinished.
We help businesses upgrade concrete floors with coating systems designed around the demands of the space.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
The right system depends on much more than appearance. We consider the condition of the concrete, traffic levels, vehicle or equipment use, chemical exposure, moisture, cleaning procedures, slip-resistance requirements, temperature changes and how much downtime the facility can tolerate.
Different environments may call for epoxy, polyaspartic, urethane cement, quartz or another resinous flooring system.
-
Downtime depends on the flooring chemistry, number of coats, concrete condition, temperature and the type of traffic returning to the floor.
Some fast-curing resin systems can significantly reduce return-to-service time, while traditional multi-layer epoxy systems may require a longer installation and cure window. We consider your operating schedule when recommending a system.
-
In many facilities, yes. Larger spaces may be divided into phases or work zones so portions of the operation can remain active while flooring is installed elsewhere.
Whether phasing is practical depends on the facility layout, selected system, traffic patterns and required cure times.
-
Proper surface preparation is critical. The concrete may require mechanical grinding, shot blasting or other preparation to remove contaminants, weak surface material and existing coatings while producing the correct surface profile for the new flooring system.
The slab should also be evaluated for cracks, moisture and other conditions that could affect adhesion.
-
Joint treatment depends on what type of joint it is and whether movement is expected.
Some non-moving joints may be repaired or incorporated into the flooring system, while active expansion or movement joints generally need to remain capable of movement. Joint treatment should be considered as part of the flooring specification rather than simply filling every joint with rigid material.
-
Yes, but the floor system must be specified accordingly.
Facilities with forklifts, pallet jacks, steel wheels, heavy equipment or frequent impact generally require a more robust system than spaces exposed primarily to pedestrian traffic. Heavy-duty epoxy mortar and urethane systems are specifically available for industrial environments where abrasion and impact resistance are important.
